Wizmo is a programmable, 4 feet tall humanoid robot which has got extensive usage in a variety of sectors such as education, offices and hospitals. It is clever, efficient and mobile due to its features which lend it the versatility needed for maximum benefits.

• Sensors for orientation and movement giving it 17 degrees of freedom (DOF). The main elements are electric motors and actuators.

• Contains various communication devices including voice synthesizer, LED lights, and two high-fidelity speakers

Our endeavour has been primarily directed towards building it for better adaptability, flexibility and resourcefulness to suit the dynamic needs in different areas where it is used. Awareness: This area includes sensing motion and control mechanism for better adaptability to the requirement as well as Wizmo's speed, position and orientation. We also strive towards giving better mobility, vision as well as tactile perception through the different kinds of sensors provided in Wizmo.

Learning Adaptability: Wizmo is ideal for using it in a variety of ways in different environments. For instance, it is extremely useful for teaching autistic children who can relate with the object which works similar to humans but without being intimidating or realistic. Autistic children have shown favorable response towards robots and they can therefore be adapted suitably for interaction.

Human Machine Interaction: We attempt to enhance human-machine interaction through better communication for better all-round efficacy of Wizmo. Locomotion and Movement: Wizmo is a biped robot that can do forward and backward movements easily. We are in the process of developing its mobility for better body balance to gain more complex movements. Increasing the dexterity to facilitate mechanical movements is also our primary focus for better control and usage.
